Gathering of Zen Masters and Literati

Since the Tang Dynasty, there have been a number of people who are good at calligraphy and painting in Lingnan Buddhism. Especially in the Ming and Qing dynasties, represented by natural monk lingnan monks rapid rise, they pay attention to poems, calligraphy and painting in their spare time. And Hoi Tong Monastery as the main activity place, or group to give lectures, or with the scribes, that was very famous at the time. After several generations, it has remained elegant and has become a unique cultural phenomenon in the history of religion and art development in Guangdong and even the whole country.

This exhibition displays more than 200 exhibits in 120 groups, including calligraphy, paintings, export paintings, and ancient books and documents, as well as cultural relics or landscapes in the Hoi Tong Monastery. On the one hand, it traces the development status and unique value of Lingnan monks' painting and calligraphy art. On the other hand, from the perspective of Hoi Tong Monastery, the first Buddhist temple in the Qing Dynasty to be opened to the outside world, to comprehensively understand its outstanding achievements in poetry, calligraphy, calligraphy, scriptures, landscape architecture, bonsai art and cultural exchanges between the East and the West.

This exhibition combines ACEVEL Discovery zoom spotlights with flexible focus, precise light distribution; Universe linear cabinet lights, with customized Angle bracket makes the light accurately fall on the exhibits and create complete visual comfort. And the Galaxy wallwasher, that flexibly adjusts lighting effects of the illuminance according to the different illumination requirements and the exhibits of different materials to meet the lighting needs of different scenes. Full-spectrum soft light prevents works from brittleness and yellowing. High color saturation, high CRI 98 and moderate light color 3500K, that fully enhances the comfort of the art space, and highlight the Lingnan Monks’ Paintings and Calligraphy and Hoi Tong Monastery’ Culture and Art.
